Home renovation with slatted walls
This house in Naaldwijk has been expanded with an extension with Ayous wooden facade cladding. The wood runs from the outside through to the inside. In combination with a sliding door with slim profiles, the boundary between inside and outside is blurred. The interior has been given a new layout to provide space for a large
utility room, hall and technical room for the heat pump. Central to this house is a spiral staircase with a round wall. In this design, it was decided to embrace this round shape and to cover it with ayous wooden slats. 'Hidden' doors in the same wood give a seamless effect.
These round shapes with wood provide warmth and softness. The sleek designer kitchen and linoleum floor contrast with this. The result is an interior with a luxurious modern look that also feels cozy.
